Blues on the Farm

The premiere event staged at Pump Bottom Farm is our big West Sussex music festival Blues on the Farm.
Friendly, relaxed and inclusive - Blues on the Farm is an annual four-day festival, featuring different musical styles centred around classic and contemporary blues, blues-rock, soul and roots music. In 2010, 19 bands will be performing across four days from 17th to 20th June.
Always well attended, with a weekend capacity of c. 8,000, Blues on the Farm is staged across 40 acres in our wonderful setting on the Sussex Coastal plain a couple of miles south of Chichester. The festival attracts families and people of all ages and has a big reputation for offering a safe festival atmosphere. The majority of festival-goers live in and around West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire but a significant number arrive from all over the
In 2008, the festival was featured by The Sunday Times who dubbed it “The friendliest festival in the UK”; while The Independent has also reported very favourably on the festival, highlighting in particular the “astounding precision” of the event’s organization!
Musically, the festival always features world class talent. The 2010 line-up of bands and musicians include: Mojo-award winning Ian Siegal, multi-award winning The Hoax, former Fairport Convention guitarist Jerry Donaghue, New York virtuoso blues guitarist Popa Chubby, French blues & soul prodigy Charlie Fabert, plus US band Point Blank, Paul Cox, Geoff Achison, Connie Lush, Sam Kelly’s Primo Blue, WammaJamma, The Stumble, Hokie Joint, Simon McBride, Jay Tamkin Band, Virgil & The Accelerators, Gypsy fire, Big Mama’s Door, Patrick Sweany, Duncan MacKenzie Band, Flanagan, and Doug Morter ...
